The Baptism Wordbook provides an excellent introduction to children
who are curious about the idea of becoming baptized. This Wordbook
is perfect for parents to use with their children-or for Sunday
school teachers, children's minstry directors and children's
pastors to use with the children in their minstry. The book
explains why someone may be baptized-to show others that they have
joined God's family. Also, the book provides detailed descriptions
and illustrations of how someone is baptized and who may be
baptizing them. This booklet is a perfect guide for children who
are curious about this unique and special ordinance. The Baptism
Wordbook also encourages children to use baptism as an opportunity
to share with others about their faith. Perhaps most importantly,
this wordbook presents the child with the question of whether or
not they are in fact ready to be baptized. Activities include a
crossword puzzle, word search, coloring page, quiz and "Certificate
of Spiritual Birth." The Children's Wordbook on Baptism is designed
especially for kids in grades 2-5. The Wordbook booklet is designed
as a workbook to be filled out by the child, including a place on
the front cover to label the booklet with their own name. The
Children's Wordbook by Richard Todd is part of a series that is
most beneficial when used in conjunction with the other Wordbooks.
These Wordbooks are a great tool to accompany any special classes a
church may offer for children or families on each of the topics:
Salvation, Baptism, Communion, Giving and the Church.
In 2004, the microelectronics industry quietly ushered in the
Nanoelectronics Era with the mass production of sub-100nm node
devices. The current leading-edge semiconductor chips in mass
production - the so-called 90nm node devices - have a transistor
gate length of less than 50nm. This rapid technological advancement
in the semiconductor industry has been made possible by innovations
in materials employed in both transistor fabrication
(front-end-of-the-line, FEOL) and interconnect fabrication
(back-end-of-the-line, BEOL). The 90nm node BEOL features copper
(Cu) interconnects and dielectric materials with a low-dielectric
constant (k) of about 3.0. However, for the next generations of
65nm node and beyond, evolutionary and revolutionary innovations in
BEOL materials and processes are needed to fuel the continued,
healthy growth of the semiconductor. This book provides a forum to
exchange the latest advances in materials, processes, integration,
and reliability in advanced interconnects and packaging. The book
also addressed interconnects for emerging technologies, including
3D chip stacking and optical interconnects, as well as
interconnects for optoelectronics, plastic electronics and
molecular electronics.
Medical imaging is a very important area in diagnostic (and
increasingly therapeutic) medicine. Many new techniques are being
developed or extended which depend on digital methods. Although
conventional x-radiographs still comprise the bulk of the medical
images acquired in a hospital, digital methods such as computerized
tomography and magnetic resonance imaging are now often claimed to
have a more significant clinical impact. This book is concerned
with three aspects of such digital images: their formation, or how
they can be acquired; their handling, or how they may be
manipulated to increase their clinical value; and their evaluation,
or how their impact and value may be assessed. The book is divided
into three parts. Part 1 comprises a series of reviews in the
general subject area written by authorities in the field. Part 2
includes papers on theoretical aspects: 3D images, reconstruction,
perception, and image processing. Part 3includes papers on
applications in nuclear medicine, magnetic resonance, andradiology.
In the wake of the attack on the offices of Charlie Hebdo in Paris
on 7 January 2015, millions took to the streets to demonstrate
their revulsion, expressing a desire to reaffirm the ideals of the
French Republic: liberte, egalite, fraternite. But who were the
millions of demonstrators who were suddenly united under the single
cry of Je suis Charlie ? In this probing new book, Emmanuel Todd
investigates the cartography and sociology of the three to four
million who marched in Paris and across France and draws some
unsettling conclusions. For while they claimed to support liberal,
republican values, the real middle classes who marched on that day
of indignant protest also had a quite different programme in mind,
one that was far removed from their proclaimed ideal. Their deep
values were in fact more reminiscent of the most depressing aspects
of France s national history: conservatism, selfishness, domination
and inequality. By identifying the anthropological, religious,
economic and political forces that brought France to the edge of
the abyss, Todd reveals the real dangers posed to all western
societies when the interests of privileged middle classes work
against marginalised and immigrant groups. Should we really
continue to mistreat young people, force the children of immigrants
to live on the outskirts of our cities, consign the poorer classes
to the remoter parts of the country, demonise Islam, and allow the
growth of an ever more menacing anti-Semitism? While asking
uncomfortable questions and offering no easy solutions, Todd points
to the difficult and uncertain path that might lead to an
accommodation with Islam rather than a deepening and divisive
confrontation.
